Why Get Creative?

I feel that most companies know that hiring out to creative agencies is an integral part of business, but so often I see large companies not getting the high level of work done for their marketing. These videos were shared with me and they are great. Creative and intriguing.

Making of a Champion: Seattle Seahawks

I had heard a lot about this video, but just finally got around to watching it. With all the press and publicity that the Seahawks are getting this season, what a blessing this video is. I love seeing men who are the best at something top level yet count it as loss but a vapor. Yet God and His word are solid and the one thing to build our identities on. Enjoy.

THE ENCOUNTER COLLECTION

The Encounter Collection from Process Creative on Vimeo.

The beauty of the shots and score are only surpassed by the realness of the narrators voice. The real pain and love and desire to hold these things as truth, passing on advice to a son who never really knew him. – “Never turn away from the right course because it’s hard. Above all love. Scrape out the bottom of your soul and love for all your worth, and when you find her risk everything.”

The Encounter Collection by Stephen Kenn explores the significant act of passing an object on from one generation to the next. It is in this exchange, accompanied by words of wisdom, that a boy is often called to a life of courage. While aware that everyone’s life experience is unique, and often painful, this film focuses on the experience of a boy losing his father and yet retaining the love and passion that was intended for him.

WEEKLY WEDNESDAY

Sorry for the lack of consistency with this one. Took me a bit to get the photos off of my camera. Featured this week is David Schmidt’s handmade, under the eyes of Marty from Geekhouse, road bike. We went out or a morning ride two weeks ago, in a thick thick fog. Was awesome getting out and riding the Mercer Island Loop again, my favorite ride in Seattle. Be on the look out for a disposable series from that day as well. .

Music Mondays

I just received this album. I had pre-ordered it months ago and forgotten about it, but what a pleasant surprise. The artwork is so great, the record is blue vinyl, and this song makes me want to learn to tango so bad! I just can pick being in a sweet tuxedo, whisking around a snazzy dressed woman to this song. Modern yet class. Love what Monster Rally is doing. Enjoy.

*EDIT* I began searching around for images that represent this music and immediately thought of 50’s-60’s Modern Beach Houses. Somewhat futuristic and clean but also laid back.

GIVE ME WHAT’S MINE

Song I wrote and recorded a while ago. Just uploaded it to Bandcamp a little bit ago.
