This music video for Seattle based worship band, Citizens, is awesome! You can see/listen to more Mars Hill bands here.
BONKERS IN BARCA
Nike Batalla BCN from Nike BMX on Vimeo.
Nike took a trip to Barcelona with AK, Simone, Tunte, Joris, and Kerley and absolutely killed it. The original edit is above, amazing. And the Dig Extra’s edit is HERE and also so amazing. These dudes have an infinite amount of technical combinations. I can’t even begin to describe how influential AK and Simone are on me at the moment.
DCC BIRTHDAY VIDEO
Happy 2nd Birthday DCC! from Downtown Cornerstone Church on Vimeo.
Downtown Cornerstone Church, or DCC, turned two a couple weeks ago. Peter and David got together and filmed a bunch of us reading scriptures as a reminder of what God’s done for us. I’m going to watch this video each day as a reminder of who I am now, in Christ.
I couldn’t be any more blessed to have become a member of this church. It’s a beautiful thing to be surrounded by people who are on mission to spread the gospel for God’s glory in Seattle. The support, love, and christlikeness of this group is something that I would not change for anything.
SATURDAY SLOW DOWN
I know it’s Friday but I’m down in Phoenix for the weekend, and I will definitely be slowing down. Going to watch the beautiful movies with my mother, and read a whole lot! Starting Brothers We Are Not Professionals for this month’s Oxen meeting. Looking forward to digging into a tough book this month.
REVIEW
So, I watched both of the movies above yesterday. I would definitely recommend Hyde Park on Hudson. It was a fun, period piece and Bill Murray was magnificent. To The Wonder however, I don’t think I would recommend. The trailer painted a much different picture than what the film was. It is an art film that features pretty much no actual dialogue. Mostly just french poetic narration over beautiful scenes. Had I known that beforehand maybe I would have had a different mindset going in, and could have enjoyed a bit more.
CHIMPANZEE
I just finished watching this fantastic documentary. The fact that this was even filmed to me is still absolutely mind blowing. Tim Allen did a great job with the narration and the score is absolutely fantastic. The music and editing really make you fall in love with this lil bugger. I highly recommend this to anyone of all ages. It was done tastefully, great work Disney.
Tunes Tuesday – Sigur Rós
The newest video and preview from their upcoming album – Brennisteinn. Pre-order the album, Kveikur, here.
Sigur Rós has the most amazing ability to have their music videos seem like films. Most likely because they are fantastically cinematic and use actual film directors, but it’s something that I find so intriguing. Below is another one of their music videos I’ve become fascinated with from their Valtari Mystery Film Experiment.
