SERVE THE CITY

Was fortunate enough to be able to serve a school in need two Saturdays ago. A group of about 100 volunteers dug, painted, pulled, and cleaned up Dunlap Elementary in Rainier Valley. It was a wonderful morning, and the staff of the school was so appreciative. Felt awesome to be able to help clean a school up, but more importantly make it safer for the student who go there. Downtown Cornerstone is also organizing a back to school supply drive for Dunlap, which you can get more information on here.

About a month and a half ago I reached out to Peter, our church resident videographer, about helping compose for the future videos. I was able to write and record the two songs that you hear in this video with a little help from Chelsey Scheffe on the singing side of things. My goal was to write something that was simple worded, clear, yet truthful. I also wanted to keep the song very happy because it was an amazing day filled with amazing joy! I will post the entire “serve the city” song on my bandcamp shortly.
