HUNT 3 – Trailer

Hunt3 Trailer from Deux North on Vimeo.

Dylan from Deux North hit me up to share the newest trailer for their next video, HUNT 3. Looks like some beautiful bikes, beautiful country roads, and beautiful footage! Can’t wait to see more. Here is what they had to say:

Deux North, a cycling brand started by brothers James and Dylan Nord, is out to tell a different kind of story. Using primarily short documentary films these stories aren’t just about racing or riding your bike; they are about the passion behind the obsession, the freedom felt while riding, and the things we learn about ourselves and others in the saddle. It’s the kind of story you have to go out and create, or in their words, hunt.

This is the trailer for Hunt 3, a third in a series of ten trips around the world that involve beautiful roads, fast bikes, surprising people, and a natural setting that’s quite different from the brand’s home in New York City. This particular trip took a group of 5 riders, or hunters, to upstate New York. Setting up camp outside of the small town of Boonville, they split time documenting the local lumberjack competition and hundreds of miles of gorgeous riding.”

Also don’t forget to check out their shop I love the socks!

Music Mondays

I just received this album. I had pre-ordered it months ago and forgotten about it, but what a pleasant surprise. The artwork is so great, the record is blue vinyl, and this song makes me want to learn to tango so bad! I just can pick being in a sweet tuxedo, whisking around a snazzy dressed woman to this song. Modern yet class. Love what Monster Rally is doing. Enjoy.

*EDIT* I began searching around for images that represent this music and immediately thought of 50’s-60’s Modern Beach Houses. Somewhat futuristic and clean but also laid back.

Fashion Friday

So I know that I missed this weeks Weekly Wednesday Post – I have been crazy busy, so it will have to wait til next week. Instead I wanted to share some photos that have been keeping me inspired on the design side of things.

**EDIT** I’m seriously obsessed with the first photo in this post. I love the look. I’d never wear it, but there is just something so awesome about it. Maybe it’s the contrast between a flannel one of the most manly and casual things, and the slightly feminine extremely formal jacket it is paired with.

WINDOW TO THE WORLD

This is pretty rad.

WEEKLY WEDNESDAY

I have always been a huge fan of bike checks, or beautiful bikes as John calls em. I wanted to showcase some of the beautiful rides I see around the beautiful city of Seattle… Starting with my own. Over the next 3 weeks I’ll be uploading photos of each of my bikes then friends/random ones I see around.

First up my Sizemore Commuter – This bike was built by Taylor for me for the 2009 Oregon Manifest bike builders challenge. It was an 88 mi on/off road course put together by Rapha, and man was it tough. This bike has seen a lot of miles, a lot of terrain, and a lot of air! I can’t help but jump it any chance I get.  Still going strong after 4 years!

The Gospel According to Mark Pt. 1

The Gospel According to Mark Intro from Downtown Cornerstone Church on Vimeo.

Got the privilege to be involved in the making of the intro video for Downtown Cornerstone’s next sermon series going through the Gospel of Mark. It was fun to “play” actor! I also composed, played, and recorded the song for this video. There will be a few more as we progress through the gospel of Mark and I plan to link the music together, with each video musically starting where the last left off, and in the end it will be on larger piece of music.

People involved in this video: Peter Isaza, Leah Dankertson, Chelsey Scheffe, Jose Guillen, Cyrus Soheili, and William West.

Looking forward to working on the next one!
