WEEKLY WEDNESDAY
I have always been a huge fan of bike checks, or beautiful bikes as John calls em. I wanted to showcase some of the beautiful rides I see around the beautiful city of Seattle… Starting with my own. Over the next 3 weeks I’ll be uploading photos of each of my bikes then friends/random ones I see around.
First up my Sizemore Commuter – This bike was built by Taylor for me for the 2009 Oregon Manifest bike builders challenge. It was an 88 mi on/off road course put together by Rapha, and man was it tough. This bike has seen a lot of miles, a lot of terrain, and a lot of air! I can’t help but jump it any chance I get. Still going strong after 4 years!

WHERE’S MY YELLOW
A good friend once commented to me, after viewing an Ann Demeulemeester collection, “where’s my yellow?” It’s a fantastic quote and has continued to stick in my mind. All black or all grey is great (I mostly wear just that) but it can get monotonous (pun intended?) Whether it’s muted, neon, goldenrod, ochre, whatever… working yellow into your outfit is fantastic.

CLOUDS
If you couldn’t tell yet, I’m quite obsessed with images of clouds, well really just clouds in general. The shapes, the textures, the way light is blocked or let through, really anything to do with them. I found this awesome Damir Doma jacket a few years ago, and fell in love. I’m glad I didn’t buy it because well it’d end up not getting worn that much but it sure is cool.
THAT HAT
I have quite the affinity for women whose flowing hair cascades out of a wonderful hat. Top image is from Le 21eme, second image is a charcoal drawing I did a while ago, and the rest are random tumblr finds. I also must add the tonality and texture to many of these photos is amazing.
